What is First Friday you ask?
It is a monthly event to draw people downtown to shop, dine and be entertained during the evening hours of the first Friday of the month. It is a retail event and also a campaign to draw awareness to downtown as a destination. Over 20 downtown merchants came together with the idea of getting customers in the habit of coming downtown after hours, something that was commonplace until the 1980’s
