They need your help

I'm sure most of you have heard about the devastating event that occurred in Haiti on Tuesday.
The worst earthquake in 200 years (7.0 in magnitude) struck just before 5pm 10 miles away from Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti.
Hundreds of thousands are feared dead a day after the devastation and the toll is rising.

It's hard to sit here and not do anything. That's why The Felt Bird is taking action.
For the month of January we will donate $1 for every item purchased.

We will make weekly donations to Partners in Health.

The work of PIH has three goals: to care for our patients, to alleviate the root causes of disease in their communities, and to share lessons learned around the world. Through long-term partnerships with our sister organizations, we bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need and work to alleviate the crushing economic and social burdens of poverty that exacerbate disease. PIH believes that health is a fundamental right, not a privilege.

For more information on Partners in Health or to make a direct donation please visit their website at www.pih.org.

You can also make a $10 donation to the American Red Cross relief fund by texting 'Haiti' to 90999. This will be added to your cell phone bill.

If you'd like to donate through a different organization please visit Charity Navigator to help decide.

  1. You can also donate $5 to Wyclef Jean's organization, Yele Haiti, by texting "Yele" to 501501. He was the first one with the text to donate thing, apparently.
